The Over Under
Betting the Over/Under on the NHL
The NHL is one of the most watched sports in North America and although it doesn’t see very much international recognition it still have quite a few viewers across the world. One thing most hockey fans have in common is that they like sports gambling in order to make the game more enjoyable to watch. This can get expensive when you have no idea what you’re betting on so I’ve got some tips for you to look at which should help you find games to bet the over/under on.
Every NHL Betting game will have an over/under pre-determined before the poker game and you need to choose whether it will go over or under that number. For instance, if the Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators are playing and the over/under in the game is 5.5 then if you picked over there would need to be 6 goals in the game and if you picked under then you’d need the game to be under 5 goals. These bets aren’t the most common bets in the NHL, like they are in basketball betting, but if you do the proper research you should be able to win some money. Let’s now look at some tips which you can use when betting on the over/under of an NHL game.
* The first thing you need to look at is the over/under for every NHL Odds game for that day so that you can briefly look at each game and choose a few you’re interested in.
* Once you have chosen a few games to analyze I suggest looking over the over/under stats for both teams on the season as this will help give you an idea how the game will end up.
* Check out to see how both teams starting goalies are playing and it’s worth looking at there goals against average over the past 5-10 games. If they’ve been on a good roll and have a g.a.a. of under 2 over the past 10 then there is a good chance the game would be under.
* As in baseball betting on www.PokerStars.com, you should view how well each teams offenses have been performing over the past 5-10 games as well. Find out whether the teams have been scoring lately or not because this is important in deciding whether the game will go over or under.
* Ideally I would recommend looking for games where the offences are both struggling or both doing well and not a mix of the two where one offence is doing well and the other isn’t. You don’t want to bet on anything that isn’t a fairly strong favourite. The goal should be to target only a few games a week, but winning them all instead of betting on 6 games and losing 3-4 of them.
There are tons of online sportsbooks where you can bet on hockey. The best place to bet on the NHL games is Sportsbook.com. You’re not always going to find a game that has two teams doing well or two teams struggling and when you can’t I recommend just avoiding that day. Instead of betting on the over/under at pkr poker site, you could decide to bet on just a moneyline or point spread wager.
